It is finally over. After 24 weeks of labour, pressure, heartache, elation, laughter and tears...it's finally, finally over. For REAL.
I'm done with my Industrial Attachment, got my marks (A pass is already in the bag but I don't know if I can get a B. I hope so though.) I'm somewhat upset that my supervisor didn't bother to leave a comment. I could have known how to better myself, no? Ah well, let bygones be bygones.
Now, it's time to bring out the old lecture notes and start cramming. >.<
Dr Chitra: Why do we need to measure the girth of a tree to check its health?
Me (being stupid): Because it's the first indicator that the tree is sick (Essentially what had been said by the presentor)
Dr Chitra: No Khairul, I asked WHY. Think. Think about the plant anatomy and morphology.
Me: *silent*
Dr Chitra: Ok, so what is a girth of a tree.
Me: (I kept quiet but I actually wanted to say: The circumference of a tree trunk 1 m above the roots?)
Dr Chitra: Because the girth is secondary growth.
*facepalms*
Other 'fun' stuff:
Dr Koh: Why do you need to place the seeds in a dark place for germination? (To the presentor)
The group of us: *discussing* Eh, it's that chemical process! What's the name...shit. The don't know what autocyanin right?
Dr Koh: *gives up and just rephrases the question a different way - very obvious we're rather hopeless*
Dr Koh: Let me ask you a question about the dragonfruit. (To the presentor) What is the scientific name for dragonfruit? What is its family?
Me: OH SHIT.
I'm in for 6 short months of hell if I don't do something now. I'm just thankful that we have a holiday to breathe, go for educational trip (THAILAND! YAY! I WANNA SEE A DRAG QUEEN! AND SHOPPING!) & to study. I'll study later but first...I hope, I pray that my camera does NOT need servicing. I'll be dead if it does. The bugger on the phone can't even quote me a price range. T.T I'm gonna be broke when I already don't have no money. Bleh.
