I wrote this a long time ago. XD I didn't even know it existed until I checked my folder just now. This is the last of it for today. I promise! And this is one of the incompletes.

Sitting on the bench

I look to my right

And saw two lovebirds

Making horrendous sounds

That filled the silent air

And no one batted an eyelid

I turned to my left

And saw a couple

So late in life

Looking around

Before one

Took the other’s

Their actions

Shyly stealing touches

And glimpses

Warmed my heart

Now this was love.

I guess I was wrong

When I heard an outcry

And the two split,

Like felons and outlaws

Running from the sheriffs

In those old western shows of yonder

I wondered why

Was it because they were guys

Or was it because of their age?

And I wondered if I was in the 21th

Or in Salem during the 1600s.
