Going Potters. (the Movie, not the book.)

As promised...
The movie HP and the Order of the Phoenix didn't really go down too smoothly with me. Perhaps I had higher expectations of the movie but it left me yearning to tear my hair out. To quote a number of friends I've discussed the movie with,
"If you haven't read the book, you'd think the movie's great. But if you have read it, then it's just so-so."
How true. So there's a lesson to be learnt from this no? Don't judge a book by its movie.
Anywhos, sure, the company was great but if I had KNOWN that there were bits of implied slash all round, then holy, I'd have gone with girlfriends who love slash. Like hello?! Sirius/Remus! Tonks though turned out rather well. But oh god, I'd happily hand the Oscars (or at least the BFTA) to Olivia Bonham Carter for her excellent portrayal of Bellatrix Lestrange. Deliciously wicked and mad I tell you. I can watch that part of her screaming again and again.
Wasn't terribly happy with the way they've changed Umbridge's character (I always imagined her as this thin, rackish woman.) Nevertheless, the change was rather good- terrifying in fact. All that pink...*shudders* I pity Sungmin's roomate. Donghae I last heard. XD
But the pink was just...evil. EVIL i tell you. And the whole cosy home-like setting made the scene far more sinister to me, which I absolutely love. But the kitty plates...oh, I like....
However, I was rather let down by the lack of Draco, the Harry-Cho kiss (though it seemed sweet but it was just...meh. 'Tis a pity kiss), the fact that Percy has suddenly developed perfect eyesight and the slickness of the movie. The scene transitions were a tad too smooth that it confused me. (So sue me. I'm not a fanatical freak - I didn't bother picking the book up to read it again prior to the show like what I did for the last two movies)
After the movie, we just sat in the cinema discussing speculations. I've not been on mugglenet or any HP fansite so I have no idea how true some of the info are.
It seems that Hermione will die to save Ron.
There will be a date-rape scene.
Harry/Voldermort will die. (I strongly believe that they will both die. Sure, good will triumph over evil but I get this feeling that after Voldie's defeated, Harry will lose his mind or something of that sort. Okay...thinking way too much. I blame dramas. Hmpf.)
Either Sirius or Dumbledore will return back from the 'dead'.
Someone will be coming out of the closet. (I'm putting my money on Percy. Someone in the Weasley just HAS to be gay. Statistically speaking of course. And hopefully it's a Oliver/Percy canonization...hey, a slash fan can dream can't he?)
That's what I've heard so far. I can't wait for this Saturday when the book is released. Hopefully some kind soul will summarize the story and post it on Wiki like what they've did for the previous two books. What? I'm just too lazy to get the book now. I'd rather wait for the hype to die down before I read it. Cheaper! (Experience-wise too but I don't really give a damn)
Edit: It seems some lucky people HAVE gotten their hands on the book early. Pre-delivered or some rubbish like that. And supposedly sites that post the spoilers are being suspended. Bleh. WAY too much hype for a book I think.
Talking about literature, let's delve into online fanfiction. As many of you know, I do write it. I just realised that some of my favourites stored under memories are no longer accessible. The account's either suspended or deleted. Sigh...
And the whole friends-locked thing is still going strong. Personally, I'm against f-locking fics since I think to improve as a writer, you need to get as many feedback as possible. I won't ignore the silent readers though - it could be that they read it but didn't like it and didn't want to post an unnecessary comment or something along those lines. I'll be glad that someone reads it. But that's in my own personal context. On fictionpress, I can even view how many times people have read my stuff and I must say the number of reviews versus the number of times it's been read never tallies. Maybe I'm doing a poor job of keeping readers I guess. At least someone bothers to read it! XD
However, after much reflection, I've realized that I...have to redo the entire ADKOP. It's riddled with tired cliches (I know it's wrong spelling. Just go with the flow biatch. God, I've missed saying that) and histronics that it's painful to read. Still, I find it tough to force myself to write the ending quickly. it's a WIP as everyday I change the flow and the ending. I won't post until I'm satisfied but really, once that is done, ADKOP is going to face the writing desk once again.
I'd better go now. I'm just so tired...And I didn't do so well for the genetics test.
The MCQ and fill-in-the-blank questions were fine. But the free response bit was a definite killer. I scored a grand total of...
*insert drumroll*
ONE. UNO. EIN. SATU.
Just one measly little insignificant mark.
Over a possible 60.
I am so darn thankful that she decided in the end to just take the marks from the first two sections. Still, it's a GREAT wake up call. And I am SO prepared for my papers!
And the exams are 3 - 4 weeks away...Aish. I'd better buck up.
Thank god the project load is gradually being reduced day by day. But I kind of like my planometric plan. I think I got almost everything in. :)
So I think I'd better get out of the fandom and what nots. So I apologize to anyone and everyone. I might continue to read the fics I've been reading, I might not. I'm uncertain at the moment. In any case, I'll resume things again at full speed in two months time when the breaks are here. Or the hiatus might be prolonged if I get that relief teaching post. (After I submit my application of course. XD )
And I'll post picspam of Orchids from the National Orchids Gardens when I have the time.

I really really think that it is time to officially shut my blogspot. It kind of saddens me (weird, I know) but it is afterall marking a transition in my life I
EDIT: The deed is done.
I...I don't know if I should be glad I got it over and done with or sad that I've closed another chapter in my life.
