I guess it all boils down to my perfectionist streak. I can't help it but feel a sense of gladness that things are done completely, correctly, perfectly.
Of course, it also begets the question that what happens when I realise what I sent isn't perfect? Well...that's a different story. Let's talk about that another time, shall we?
Today was particularly interesting in terms of actual lectures. Practicals on the other hand was ridiculously difficult. Despite being 'trained' for two years in the Life Sciences AND having done a proper microculture on my own, I STILL can't get the hang of it. Heck, I was like the only one at the end of the class to NOT have seen their own fungal cultures under the microscope.
Partly because Saiful says my fungus culture is dead but that isn't the case. (Because by the time I had given up, I had completely desecrated the entire agar culture plate AND of course used up the 'living' fungus in my misattempts at trying to get a slide)
In the end, I just saw from Hanif's and drew. There's more to be done and of COURSE I never saw it. Afterall, if I can't even get my own done, I'd rather be safe than sorry and not destroy the few unknown samples cultured for the class.
I feel inadequate doing this. Things...took a turn for the worse when I sorta panicked when there were 3 older men in class in addition to Ms Kan for tutorial today. I thought it was the NParks people who had decided that they wanted the presentations pushed forward. Thank god, it was just for the new I-Media pilot project thingie. There are several setbacks and flaws but kinks are being worked out so I guess it'll soon revolutionize lessons...or not.
After the hour long presentation and lecture, Dan and I rushed to the printing shop. At first things seemed fine until we saw the exorbitant prices. $1.30 for a sheet when printing in colour?! Aish...had to borrow Daniel's money to pay for them. T.T
Best bit? Only AFTER I submitted and burnt the non-rewritable CD did I realise that I've forgotten to submit the hardcopy of the maintenance schedule. Gotta rework on the costing too.
Just when I thought I could get some sleep tonight. And damn it, it's another day that I've missed Precious Family. I can't believe I MISSED Choi Siwon's walk on role. T.T
I SO have to go. Ganbatte ne?
