Just had my presentation on Kpop fandom. I would have thought it was okay if NOT for one smartass aka Mr Slang. T.T

He asked me how do you place social psychology terms in respect to the Korean culture of emphasizing beauty (or something like that).

Already having stage fright. I swear I wanted to shrivel up and die. Bestest bit? I think he just pwned me. *facepalms* Sigh...if he's in my lit class next sem, I'll...I'll jump. (off a chair ).

I find it weird though that he doesn't ask question to the next guy. Maybe he learnt his lesson? Sigh...I still feel ~~terrible.~~ horrendous!

So far, the presentations are rather...interesting. The racism in Singapore is particularly interesting as it's from a foreign Chinese national's view.

Before that was some gym bunny presentation. Bleh. Dude, not ALL guys want to be buff. I for one want to be slim and lanky! Ala Heenim and Ryeowook. <3

I can't wait for the elitism one. Controversial but a topic I find close to heart, like sexuality, gender, equal rights, racism and so forth. bwahaha. I have no idea what the hell I'm talking about now. Rambling is actually helping to lift my mood so don't mind me.

Handicapped people is so touching but somehow, I'm rather jaded. Ah well. It's better than the previous ones.

Edit: *vomits* Mr Slang just...tried to flirt with a girl. XD Freaking bad pun btw. ROFL. I swear he's lucky I'm not a girl. I think I'd have slapped him for that. I'm feeling bitchy.

He's how he went:

T.T Seriously, dude, get a "how to pick up a girl 101 or dating for dummies. There should be one right? XD

Oh god. I think I may have come across as a mean-spirited, aggressive individual because I kinda debated with him over elitism. Yes, he did my pet topic. Ah...damn one-sided can?

He says that most of the people in jc are arrogant. Honey, most of my friends are in JC (In my grad class, only 6 out of 38 ppl went to poly. I'm one of them.) and seriously, they are NOT arrogant.

So tempted to ask him where he went to school because really, the way he speaks, he's TRYING to sound elitist himself, all Angmoh americanized. (No offense to any of my fellow american friends but really, he sounds like a fob.)

Or maybe it's just your friends dearie? Because I've met PLENTY of JC students who are friendly! <3 And they're friends of friends of friends. Those sort of things.

Ah...his face went tomato red (in anger) and right after his presentation, he left. XD

I miss secondary school again. Gah, Yvonne Yoong would have ignored time and allowed us to continue. Free for all debate. :)

Also, when I asked him about sports elitism (concerning sports school), we kinda went off-tangent. I'm like wtf. How the hell can SLeague football be compared to the Premier League? Sadly, we weren't able to get to the arts. Poor thing. He has the belief that the sports and possibly the arts are not important to singapore. I pity such a closed minded person. Really.

To quote ciqi, "Singapore invest so much money into art museums already leh."

And I can't help but agree. Sports too. Afterall, if sports aren't important, why the hell are we building a huge ass sports dome? lol.

I sound mean don't I? But really, his presentation could have gone a lot better. And there was no need for name dropping (or rather picture showing). Ah well. Let's not discuss about it. Afterall, he was visibly embarassed.

Hmm...the other presentations so far have been very mild. I liked the streetwear one - rather eye-opening to note that people actually consider shirts luxury products. $300 plus for a tee? Rather ridiculous imho. Shoes, shirts I can understand. But tee? Hmm...not worth it.

The teenage shopper was nice. But I find it rather surprising that teens seem to be moving up so to say. Teens shop at Paragon? I thought ppl meet at Paragon and head elsewhere instead. Or maybe just me?

Greg's bball was short and sweet. The getai one though, I think he should have gotten a youtube link to a getai clip. Would have made things more interesting?

God knows how many more presentations I have to sit through? My butt feels like it's glued to the seat. Faster, faster can?
The week's would be fine I guess. Once I'm home, both my sisters won't be home - away at camp. The house would be silent thankfully but I have to get used to it...until Wednesday that is. I'm gonna see where to have dinner with my mum later. Of course, I'm seeing my grandparents first.

It's gonna be a late night session again. I can't wait for the term break. I need a breather FAST. I am ITCHING to write. Thanks Bibi for the wonderful poetry session! <3 I'll post the poem later or something. Gah, I forgot the Junki picspam. It'll come soon! REALLY! Like on Wednesday or something.

Provided of course I don't get traumatized again by entomology class. I SWEAR each time I have practicals, some damn insects comes back to life in my hands. T.T It's like I'm bugman or something. If it happens again, I'll film it and show you. :) Rather...freaky.

I think I'd better get a bar of Meiji or something later, see the Banjun drama Jaeho cuts. And the NG takes for Yehwook and Kyumin. <3 Thank god for Kpop. ROFL.

I feel somewhat better already.

Has anyone seen the MKMF show? The princess battle was great! XD The poor guy in the chair was definitely uncomfortable - I find it hilarious! The girl was Sensodyne (the only dancer in the group) was great except I wished she could have torn off those puffy ugly dresses. It's so...child-like! Maybe that's the look they're going for huh? Baby dolls? XD

But Big Bang's performance totally pwns SuJu's. Sorry dudes! But really...the more I see the performance, the more I find sj choreography VERY messy. The camera person is definitely a butt person. *nods* How else can you explain the gratutious amounts of butt shots?! But it was heartening to see all 13 on stage.

In order news, Henry's gonna be awarded some award. CONGRATULATIONS HENRY!!!
