Got woken up by my handphone, reminding me of the appointments - rushed down to the Macdonalds' by the Park where...it turns out none of the boys could make it for THEIR free lunch. Most of the others couldn't either so it was just Sujin, Chris and me. Talked about just about anything under the sun - well, mostly about Comex, fishing, emigration, education and Chris' hidden dance talents.
I really really hope that Chris' words are true - he took one look and me and he went 'Admin' when it came to conscription talks. (And he went on about how I look like I'm desk-bound and stuff. lol. That would be great though - too bad I've got no ailments I can declare except well, that one I went to Batam, Indon for a one day trip and found out that I'm allergic to their water. I'm never going there again unless I'm armed with a hand sanitizer and bottled mineral water. I'm digressing.)
Sujin asked me about The Happening - specifically if the show could one day become reality. I sincerely doubt that any plants would ever evolve to emit scents that cause people to kill themselves to defend themselves. But still, it raises serious issues concerning genetics and adaptation in this increasingly harsh environment. Could plants really be able to do it one day? Well, I still don't think it'll happen unless some 'clever' fellow decides to play with genetics. But if you have different thoughts, do share them yeah?
Headed home only to return back to AMK for class dinner. Wasn't really receptive to the Night Safari idea initially but decided what the heck after a while. Had takeout at Mac's while waiting so we could head to Mandai with enough time. Seeing how it's about an hour's ride and it was already nearing 9, the idea got ditched in favour of crashing Dan's place to play Rock Band.
It brought back memories of a past failed zoo outing back in Year 1. It was supposed to be a class trip - only 5 turned up in the end and we headed to Cine to have KFC followed by a movie. I'm starting to wonder if what Hoonie said is true - that we have some kind of bad luck with animals. XD
I learnt how to play Mary had a little lamb on the piano. :) And I realised that I suck at taking photos of people - they often turn out blurred. T.T I either need to invest in a anti-shake camera or I could just accept the fact that I take pics of plants better. Lol.
I'm bushed so I'm heading in. Tonight's the last night before fasting.
I'm just elated that I spent time with my mates - I miss them like crazy. We totally need to have another dinner/lunch/whatever session in a few months time.
